Singaporean Night Life

Hello everyone!

Joie shall share details from the conference (day two of THIMUN and day one of debating) and I would like to introduce you to the beauty of the Singaporean night life, beginning with the fabulous nature of multiculturalism which is epitomized through the plethora of available cuisines. We had an authentic Italian meal, sharing different pizzas and pasta dishes in order to enjoy a range of flavours.

Afterwards, if one was not too fatigued from a day of debating, one was encouraged to participate in an outing to Marina Bay to see the spectacular treetop light show. On our way there, we sang our favourite songs in harmony, discovering the lovely voice of Alison, and even had a miniature dance contest, of which Nicole was unequivocally declared the winner!

The light show was an amazing visual spectacle and we all loved the music which accompanied it. We heard some well-known Disney songs, the soundtrack of ET, Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals, and many more. The expertly coordinated rainbow lights added nicely to the atmosphere of excitement at being in a new city.

In Singapore, there are so many more people out at night for reasons other than partying or drinking, which is good to see. There are still shoppers out and about even at 10PM. This was validated by us once again as we went to Cold Stone for another round of ice cream! Thank you very much to Mrs White and Mrs Field for being so tolerant, generous and understanding of the importance of good food.

And so that concluded our evening activities! We are all looking forward to further debating tomorrow.
